Rest in peace Rayner Johnson

Rayner was a great friend to many of us and will be sadly missed. He was 75 when he passed away on November 5, 2017 from complications of a sudden stroke. For 38 years or so, he was the producer of and one man band for the Blue Gray Show. In time, the show grew to be the "best in the East"! Many memories have been made there and many dream additions were added to our collections. In addition to all his other chapters and clubs he was involved in, he was such a BCCA enthusiast and believer. Rest in peace, Ray Johnson. Our hearts and prayers are with you.

On that note, The Rayner Johnson Memorial Blue Gray show must go on! Rayner would want it to! Larry Handy is going to run the Blue Gray show this year as a memorial to Rayner. The website will be updated soon, if not already with the new information. So Look for it and make your plans to go to the Blue Gray Show this year.

48th BCCA Canvention
​
The hotel, this year, is the Hilton Cleveland Downtown and is a brand-spanking new hotel with 600 rooms and 32 floors. It boasts an indoor pool, a fitness center, business center and great dining options. Bar 32 on the top floor offers spectacular views of Lake Erie and the Cleveland skyline. Final ECBA/Oldefroth Fallfest Beer Collectibles Show ??
We are thrilled to be having at least one last show at Otto's Brew Pub another year! Please mark your calendars now for Friday, October 27th & 28th to take a weekend away and attend our show there. We stay on Friday night at the Fairfield Marriott hotel that is in the same parking lot as Otto's and their Barrel 21 Distillery where the show is actually held on Saturday. Friday night, we have a hospitality "room" in the lobby area. Roger, of Otto's, hosts us by providing us with some of his great beer. We offer snacks in the Hospitality Room as well. Jeff from the Fairfield is offering us a special rate of $99 a night! We need to fill 20 nights !!!!

When you first arrive, after checking in, you will want to walk over to Otto's and try some of their great food for lunch or dinner. Then, be sure to join us in the hospitality room that evening for good beer and great conversations.
Show Table set up for those who want to help is at the Distillery after 11:00 p.m. and the show starts at 9:00 a.m.

Join us, bring your wives and let's plan on having a great Halloween weekend! Maybe we should have a costume party? What do you think, lol?

Olde Froth Christmas Party
​
We will once again be holding our annual awesome Christmas party at the Teutonia Mannerchor a private German club located on the North Side of the city. It will be held on Thursday, December 14th beginning at 7:00 p.m. As always, each member is free to bring one adult guest, only! We apologize for this but a few members asked if they could bring an extra guest this year and there is, simply, not enough room. Hope to see you at the Christmas Party. Flyer will be available soon!
